Maine Adaptive is pleased to announce that Sunday River has extended our lease at 8 Sundance for one year until October of 2023 with the possibility of up to three additional one-year extensions through 2026. Special thanks to the Sunday River Leadership Team who have supported Maine Adaptive in the past while also ensuring that we would remain a vibrant part of the Sunday River community for many years to come. For the past 40 years Sunday River has donated millions of dollars in passes to our volunteers and participants so our alpine program could not only exist, but could flourish.
Following our departure from 8 Sundance the conversation has begun for Maine Adaptive to place a yurt, or similar structure, at South Ridge with proximity to handicap parking and accessible bathrooms. This location has not yet been determined, so more details to follow. Rest assured, we will continue to be a part of the Sunday River Community we’ve grown to know and love!
