West Paris Provisions Donates $10,000 to Support Veterans No Boundaries Program at Maine Adaptive
West Paris, ME — Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation is proud to announce a $10,000 gift from West Paris Provisions, a women- and veteran-owned medical cannabis retail dispensary off of Route 26 in West Paris, Maine. The gift will directly support Veterans No Boundaries, a 4-day Maine Adaptive program based out of Sunday River in Newry, Maine. This winter retreat includes alpine skiing & snowboarding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, crafts, local activities, and evening entertainment.
This winter, the Veterans No Boundaries program helped 25 veterans get on the slopes, marking one of the largest single-season veteran programs in Maine Adaptive’s history. The program offers more than adaptive sports; it creates space for connection, confidence-building, and belonging through shared time outdoors.
The $10,000 donation was generated through a round-up program at West Paris Provisions, created by owner Andelena out of a passion to help more veterans access the outdoors, community, and new experiences that support healing. Through this program, customers voluntarily round up their purchases, with proceeds dedicated to expanding access for veterans.
“Gifts like this are truly transformative,” said Amy Bannon, Co-Executive Director of Maine Adaptive. “West Paris Provisions’ support will have a direct and lasting impact on our ability to share the healing power of sports and community with veterans over the next year. Veterans No Boundaries is about far more than recreation; it’s about rebuilding trust, confidence, and connection, and this gift helps ensure more veterans and families can access that experience.”
West Paris Provisions has also dedicated countless hours of volunteerism and service to Veterans No Boundaries, deepening their partnership with Maine Adaptive beyond financial support. Their ongoing commitment reflects a shared belief in the power of outdoor recreation, peer connection, and inclusive spaces to foster recovery and belonging.
“We started the round-up program because we wanted to do something tangible to support veterans,” said Andelena. “Maine Adaptive’s Veterans No Boundaries program aligns so closely with our values, helping people reconnect with themselves, with others, and with what’s possible.”
