The Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation Commitment
Since 1982, Maine Adaptive has been committed
to eliminating program fees as a barrier to
participation. This dedication is made possible
by the support of our volunteers and donors.
Veterans Program
Maine Adaptive has been proudly serving veterans with disabilities and their families for the past twenty years. Veterans are welcome to participate in year-round activities at no cost thanks to the generous support of local foundations and individual supporters.
VETERANS NO BOUNDARIES
In addition to our regular offerings, Maine Adaptive offers a Veterans No Boundaries Camp every summer and winter for veterans and their family members to experience the power of recreation together. All activities, lodging, accommodations, and meals are provided free of charge throughout these four-day events.
The summer program takes place at a camp in Maine where you can enjoy paddling, court sports, shooting, archery, cycling, ropes courses, rope swings, presentations, arts & crafts, and more!
The winter program takes place at Sunday River in Newry, Maine. This winter retreat includes alpine skiing & snowboarding, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, court sports, and evening entertainment. Gain confidence, spend time with like-minded individuals, and enjoy time in the mountains with your family.
