Pete Sargent Vertical Challenge

The Pete Sargent Vertical Challenge

Climb. Fundraise. Support.
Whether you’re scaling the wall, sponsoring a participant, or cheering from the sidelines, your involvement fuels inclusion, adventure, and community. Together, we’ll carry Peter’s legacy upward—one climb, one challenge, one life changed at a time.

About the Event

The Pete Sargent Vertical Challenge is a climbing fundraiser in support of Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation, honoring the legacy of Pete Sargent—an extraordinary volunteer, mentor, and friend who dedicated countless hours to empowering others through the outdoors.

📅 Sunday, November 2, 2025
📍 Salt Pump Climbing Company

Teams of two climbers will compete to see how much vertical distance they can climb in six hours. With both Top Rope, Lead, and Adaptive categories, climbers will push their limits while raising funds to expand adaptive sports opportunities across Maine. Prizes will be awarded in each category.
