Specialty Programs

Specialty Programs

Our annual specialty camps are designed to bring people of similar backgrounds and experiences together for adventure around the state of Maine. Whether you are a veteran seeking camaraderie, a skier with paralysis seeking the opportunity to build skills among other monoskiers, our camps can give you a memorable experience and new friends to recreate with.

NEVI Fest, held each February at Sugarloaf, is a multi-day camp for skiers and snowboarders with visual impairments. From beginner to advanced alpine, Nordic, and snowboard lessons, participants build skills and confidence. Families and friends also learn guiding techniques, fostering lasting memories, friendships, and a supportive adaptive community.

Maine Adaptive’s mono ski clinics draw skiers from across New England and beyond. Led by skilled mono-skiers, the camp focuses on improving ability, confidence, and comfort on all terrain. Designed for experienced sit skiers, each participant works toward individualized goals, fostering independence, skill progression, and adaptive skiing success.

In addition to our regular summer and program offerings, Maine Adaptive offers a Veterans No Boundaries Camp every summer and winter for veterans and their family members to experience the power of recreation together. All activities, lodging, accommodations, and meals are provided free of charge throughout these four-day events.
