Every Veterans Day, we take a moment to recognize and honor the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who have served in our Armed Forces. At Maine Adaptive, this day holds special meaning. Many of the athletes, volunteers, and community members who shape our programs are veterans, and their leadership, resilience, and spirit of camaraderie continue to inspire us every day.
Their passion is what drives our Veterans No Boundaries program, which provides veterans with disabilities the opportunity to engage in year-round adaptive recreation in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Veterans No Boundaries
Since 2007, Maine Adaptive has proudly offered Veterans No Boundaries (VNB) camps every summer and winter, providing transformative recreational experiences for veterans with disabilities and their families. These four-day camps are made possible thanks to the generous support of Move United, Patriot Riders, veterans groups, local businesses, and passionate individuals who are committed to supporting our service men and women.
During camp activities, lodging, accommodations, and meals are provided free of charge.
In addition to our signature camps, veterans are welcome to participate in any of our year-round winter and summer programs at no cost, thanks to the continued support of local foundations and individual donors.
This is one small way that we can give back to individuals in our communities who have given so much, and we are proud to serve those who have served us.
